What we collect
- Account data - email address, name, and (if you sign in with Google) the basic profile Google shares.
- Quote requests - the details you type (occasion, date, guest count, message, contact preference and any phone number you include), shared with the bakery you send them to.
- Location area- if you pick an area or allow geolocation, we use your locality/pincode to show nearby bakeries. We don't track precise location in the background.
- Usage basics - saved designs, followed bakeries, and standard technical logs (IP, browser type) for security and debugging.
What we use it for
To run the service: signing you in, showing saved and followed content, delivering quote requests to bakeries, matching designs with local bakeries, and keeping the platform secure. We do not sell your personal data.
Who sees it
- Bakeries receive the quote requests you send them, including the contact details you choose to share.
- Service providers that host and operate the platform: cloud hosting for our servers and database (AWS, Supabase), image storage/CDN (Cloudflare), site hosting (Vercel), authentication (Supabase, Google sign-in), and transactional email (Resend). They process data only to provide these services.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF cookie to protect forms. No third-party advertising cookies.
Retention and your choices
Account data is kept while your account is active. You can unsave, unfollow, or stop using the service at any time; to delete your account and its data, email us and we'll process it within 30 days.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 18. We don't knowingly collect their data.

For privacy questions, data deletion, or grievances under applicable Indian law, contact support@cakedekho.in. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
